Lessons for Novice riders at Beaver Hall are structured around
INTERNATIONAL PROGRESSIVE RIDING AND STABLE MANAGEMENT TESTS
These tests, which are used world wide, go from level 1 to level 6. Riders who gain level 6 will have covered all of the sylabus for the British Horse Society Stage One Riding, and Horse Knowledge and Care Certificate, which they can then apply to the BHS to sit if they require once they have reached the age of 14 years.
We specialise in teaching children the fun and enjoyment of horse riding in a happy and safe environment. We provide a fun yet valuable learning experience across the age group. There is a great atmosphere, teaching all children to ride efficiently and confidently whilst having lots of fun. Our lessons are structured for all riders in the early stages of their equestrian development. Each level has a Riding Certificate and a Stable Management Certificate which each rider can progress at their own speed.
For each certificate there is a “test card” that shows all the things you have to be able to do in order to gain the certificate.
Riders are assessed by their Instuctor during their training sessions. Once all of the performance criteria on any of the individual test cards have been achieved then a certificate is awarded. Cloth badges are also available for successful riders to use on their clothing.
IPRASM aims to enable learner riders to develop in a structured and progressive way, keeping a clear record of their achievements.
